Remove or hide a task

Delete tasks you created; hide generated upkeep you don't want to see.

Updated July 6, 2026

There are two kinds of tasks, and they clear differently. Tasks you created can be deleted outright. Tasks Tidings generated are part of your maintenance plan — routine upkeep can be hidden, and hiding can be undone.

  1. On any task row, open the menu.
  2. For your own tasks: Delete task. You'll be asked to confirm — deletion is permanent.
  3. For generated upkeep: Hide task. An undo appears for a moment in case you didn't mean it.
  4. Changed your mind later? Hidden tasks can be restored anytime from Hidden tasks at the bottom of the Tasks page.
Good to know: Critical and important generated tasks — the ones that prevent expensive failures — can't be removed; that protection is the point of Tidings. If the volume feels like too much, space tasks out instead.
Still stuck? Open Tidings and use the Report a problem button in the corner of any page — it comes straight to us.
