Remove or hide a task
Delete your own tasks, hide minor upkeep, and turn off tasks for hardware your home doesn't have.

There are two kinds of tasks, and they clear differently. Tasks you created can be deleted outright. Tasks Tidings generated are part of your maintenance plan: minor upkeep can be hidden, and hiding can be undone.
- On any task row, open the ⋯ menu.
- For your own tasks: Delete task. You'll be asked to confirm; deletion is permanent.
- For generated minor upkeep: Hide task. An undo appears for a moment in case you didn't mean it.
- Changed your mind later? Hidden tasks can be restored anytime from Hidden tasks at the bottom of the Tasks page.
Hardware your home doesn't have. Seasonal tasks assume common exterior features: outdoor spigots, storm shutters, a basement, an attic. If your home is missing one, go to Settings → Home and uncheck it under What your home has. The matching seasonal tasks come off your plan when you save, and re-checking the box brings them back; completed work always stays in your history. The same idea covers the rest of the plan: removing an appliance removes its tasks, and unchecking a fixture in a room's panel removes that fixture's tasks.
